You won't get many comments between 3 and 5 am GMT

I've seen these before, but they are still funny.

The pidgeon was on the other day. The cat one will probably not be shown in the UK by the looks of it.

Yep. We call them Kak. Yes indeedy. Serious piles of rubbish (well, in looks mainly, supposed to be good cars) for not much cash (well, in a rip off Britain kind of way).

Its the general British students cheapo cack car. The car that all rich kids seem to get off their parents when they pass their test because the kids think they look cool, and theyre relatively dirt cheap

We do actually get other Fords here.

Ummm... I dunno if the kids think they look cool in a Ka. Think it is more like they are dirt cheap. What is even sadder is the cult following they have to be modded up to Barryboy status. Check out [href]www.barryboys.co.uk[/href] for some good examples (in the forum).

And if you think the Ka is bad, look up the Smart. Oh dear. Someone took one to the US in a car mag. Apparently cost about £80 (if I remember rightly) in petrol to take it all the way across the US (horizontal I believe). Mainly because it's so cheap over there obviously (apparently is cheaper on average to produce petrol here than in the US as a whole though.... bloody tax...), although it is pretty good fuel economy anyhows. Someone asked if it was an electric car, and when he replied it ran on petroleum they replied "Is that some new kind of gas?". Bless.

Cheers

An american said that? I guess its because we refer to fuel as gas or gasoline and rarely (if ever) do we call it petrol or petroleum. But still, thats just plain dumb. I ought to slap him.

Actually we never really call it petroleum either. Is 99% of the time Petrol. Tends to be garages and manuals that say petroleum.

Weirdly though a lot of people say "Step on the gas" to speed up, but they probably got that from US films IMHO.

As far as we are concerned Gas is the stuff that goes through a pipe and heats/blows up your house.

Hmmm... they could say "Step on the pet" I suppose..... doesn't sound right though... more like as if you want to give the dog a right good seeing to... erm.... as in "kicking" rather than... well, you know what I mean

Hey lay of the Smart Car man... they're coooool
i am seriously thinking of getting one when money isn't to tight again just for the novelty of having a 900cc Sport Car hehee

they're damn cheap to insure too

http://www.thesmart.co.uk they're by Damlier Cryslar (Mercedes Benz) i'm sure there will be electric ones and such once they become more popular.

personally have Focus RS 2.0 though hehee; just recently helped my brother get himself a RoverCity (as they're pretty good lil cars).
I like UK cars, they're far more imaginative and better designed than american cars.

Hell most americans go for Asian/German cars anyways unless they're on a budget. I mean just think about how many americans actually drive Ford or Dodge over how many drive Mitsubish/Mazda/Nissan
hehee

omg that car is so gay...
I hate cars that small; and it looks ugly

(btw Chrysler isnt Mercedes)
[edit]Just looked at the website and it turns out the engine is made by mercedes

And it is the Fortwo models that are ugly; the roadster versions are decent looking[/edit]

Actually It can go both ways.Even Asian car companies have thier "budget" vehicles. While Mercedez and Lexus are the epitome of luxury cars, American cars (I really mean SUVs and trucks) are starting to be become status symbols.

For instance, a (higher end) F-150 with leather seats is very desirable
and the Lincoln Navigator is one of the most sought after SUVs

If you come out to california you will notice that almost half the cars on the road are american SUVs or trucks.

If it was a choice between a Harley-davidson special edition F-150 and any Nissian; I would most likely take the F-150

But of course, Mercedes and Lexus Still beats the American Cars.

Same here. Anybody noticed the head dropping inside the car?
I don't really like cats, so I don't mind. If that had been a rodent...
(I was going to say mouse, but then I'd sound like if the car killed a forum member. Then I put Rat, but that is yet another netizen. Only alternative left: rodent. )

Abomb if i had a choice between Nissian and Harley... it would be a Nissian every time;

Sorry but Harley's are built for people who like to hear thier truck or bike road... having you sit back an just take in the open road at a leisurely speed.

Screw that gimme a Skyline or ZX200 anyday;
that said I pretty much hate Nissian too. (kinda like lesser of two evils)

I used to live in Cali, LA area... alot of SUVs and Trucks but i wouldn't say most were american, it would be a pretty even mixx of everything there. I hated how everyone had those bloody trucks too, i mean the pot-holes are bad; but that's just taking the piss.

just for point of note Abomb, Mercedes Benz owns Daimler Crysler; just like Porsche owns Seat. they still trade under the old names; but there is a parent company that often simply puts the engine in.

hehe... not this "harley". With a Supercharged 5.4 L Triton V8 Engine and 340 horsepower, this truck can move (Acceleration 0 to 60: 6.2 Seconds, not bad for a full-sized truck )

(btw the Harley Special Edition F150 is more of a F150 "custimized" by harley, not really built by them)

anyways, who cares anymore? Ima go watch the cat and bird again...

Exactly the same down here. I guess that's because technically we came from there.

I never understood America's obsession with oversized cars.

Then again, in the UK we don't need big cars to impress the fairer sex...

Neither do I. There used to be a big american army base near hear and they would ship their cars over even though they where much too big for the roads. If you had to go down a single track road you had to stop every time you met one.

Oh yeah DaimlerChrysler is the parent company not mercedes-Benz.

You UK People are sick

Well, the second one is kinda funny (The pigeon is fake I think), but the first one is just horrible

I read that it was computer generated so no animals were hurt, but it is still pretty sick.

You sure Winch?, i mean last time i checked it was Benz calling the shots (they're on the stock market not Daimler)
It's like how BMW now own LandRover and it isn't owned by Rover anymore; kinda sad, even more so when you think they're far better quality performance now. Perhaps not as sturdy but better performance.
