I don't own the book, but I had a look at the code for the multiplayer project there - it sends memblock data packets for each and every movement update, gunshot fired etc, there's no movement prediction or interpolation between to data packets sent. It seems to emit multiple data packets in a single sync! I haven't looked into the multiplayer portions of DBPro yet, but from what I saw on the forums and Lee's tutorial in the help file, isn't this ridiculous? If anybody owns the book, does this code work in effect?

i haven't tried it, but yes, it is a silly method of working. Check out the Multiplayer Secrets in the Technical Documents section in help. It explains about movement prediction and stuff like that

Yes, I did check out the Multiplayer Secerets - I called it Lee's tutorial on the last post. What I'm really interested is in knowing how the code from the book performs in action.
