Does anyone know any tutorials that would explain how I would go about this:

I make a character in 3ds max and give him a biped and animate some motions. Now I want to export the character and the animation into one solid x file.

How do I go about doing that so I can import it into darkbasic?

Get the panda DX exporter. Then read the help files that come with it.

I like to export as .3DS then use the converter supplied with DBC to make the .X model. Always works for me, in DBC and DBPro.

But when you convert to 3ds you lose all the bone animation and it is converted down to key frames I think. 3DS files are very old and support limbs but not skeletal animation, so when you convert from 3ds to x, DBPro will not be able to extract that bone information that the x file is now able to hold. Instead it will be key frames or object hierarchy.

Right?
