I am kinda new to this websight still and I was just woundering what kind of world editor I should be using to make a rpg or just some large open areas for fps or whatever else i would need it for. areas like fields, forests, ponds, lakes, mountains, things like that.

I advise either one of two things.

If you're experienced and just new to the forum see a. If you're new to programming see b.

a.) Build your own level editor so you can have complete control over it.

b.) Start with a smaller project and work your way up to an RPG/FPS.
If nothing, start with the Monster Hunt tutorial(on this site. DBC/Tutorials/Monster hunt) Or, I have numerous tutorials setup at my site Curved Basic.(See signature below)

Well for my 4 pennies worth I bought CS 4 off this site and was pretty disapointed. Advert is misleading, and it cant import any formats. Must be better out there for less.
