I'm buying a brand new Mazda 3 sedan in the next few weeks. This is my first new car purchase, and I just wanted to share the happy joy feelings I have.

It has really cool features, like the transmission is automatic, but you can switch it to manual mode on the fly even if you're travelling at 120kph

EDIT: I just *love* the red dash.

It was between this and the Toyota Corrola. After test driving this Mazda 3 baby I went to the Toyota dealership, took one look at the Corolla's and yelled "PASS!".

Put it this way--- right now I'm driving an '89 Corolla and the new 2004 interiors haven't changed enough to warrant a buy. They're such plain jane cars they are. If I had the money I could pimp out the Corolla but I'd rather stick with a just-as-reliable-as-a-toyota Mazda that looks and feels better, and is the same price.

Nice! Obviously not as good as my last car (a 20 year old Ford Fiesta that I had for over 10 years). I am currently car-less as owning a car in London is very expensive and it's just as easy jumping on a bus or tube to get around.

Boo!

Yeah, I would stick to the public transit system (buses, skytrains etc) but my fiance is turning on the pressure.

Personally, if I was getting a Mazda, I would get the RX-8. Or an RX-7 if they still made them.

*Thinking of getting an M3 (I am getting old...)*

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

I remember the Mazdas... They were sold here for a couple of years and then they cut the maintenance&support out and flee the country .
Anyway the car itself was exellent

Never saw that one coming...you're sounding like your brother!
Anyone remember The Young Ones?...they did a good rip on people whose daddies have a Porsche.

Nice car, shame the steering wheel has been put on the wrong side of the car...I'd ask for discount on that faux pas.

HUH! and heres me wondering if I can afford the HP on a Susuki Alto , don`t laugh ... it`s all I can afford on my income, (this is a post purely intented to demonstrate my envy of people with real pay packets, rather than the joke of a pay packet I get every week (nice car by the way, I hope to get something like that when I am 190 if I am still working )

The steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car! What use is that! Did Mazda really build it backwards!

Oh, Canadian... Say no more.

For all your information, the steering wheel is on the *correct* side

On a side note, the steering wheel isn't only adjustable on an "up/down" level like most cars. It's telescopic, in which you can pull it towards and away from you. Verryyy sexy. Yeah, the chicks will be flinging themselves at me when I get this. I guess a guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do.

The only Mazda I'll be sending anyone is to myself I'm thinking of getting it earlier-- maybe in 2 weeks now. I'm sick and tired of my '89 Corolla and its cracked radiator.
