3 Dimensional Chat / valve editor settings problem

hi guys, i dont know if this is in the correct place but i have gone through the ultimate BSP thread and i couldnt setup the valve editor correctly, i was fine up until it said about clicking a button for the expert mode and then the part about copying 6 lines to something else.

can anyone help me out?

sorted the problem out now, it was a bad install of valve hammer, after reinstalling everything is fine.

although i tried loading the bsp file into dbpro and it just produced a blank screen and then crashed.

i know my code is fine cause i am using some bsp's created from*.x converted to BSP by dbpro's program. anybody got any ideas about the problem?
