Newcomers DBPro Corner / I get a bck & white flashing screen

I'm new to this. Did the first test ;
PRINT "hello world"

compiled and run, it gave me a black and white flashing screen with a little black box and a little white box . What am I doing wrong?

any help welcome

hmm.. I guess you're using DNC, aren't you ? I had the same problem when I was using it... I don't remimber exactly what I did, but it stopped.

You may try to upgrade (http://darkbasic.thegamecreators.com/?f=upgrades) or to open your .. hmm.. I don't know the name in English ^^
Try to open your "CD reader" (the think into which you usually put your CDs )

yes, it's that ^^
I know, it's odd, but when I had a display problem like Phil's, somebody told me to open my cd-rom drive...
i also remimber now that I've had my firsts problems to launch a DBC application with the cd-rom drive closed since I installed win xp

Thanks for the help - I gotthe upgrade from the site and it fixed my problem!
