No doubt I've bumped a button that's changed an option which is now really annoying me. Basically my viewport in 3DS Max is in shaded mode with edged highlights, now this is all good and well until I start to pan or rotate the camera which makes the objects all turn into their bounding boxes. As soon as I stop moving around the viewport, they go back to shaded form. Does anyone know which of the millions of options will change it so it no longer shows the bounding boxes when I move around the scene? Thanks.

Or is there somehow a way to reset the preferences to their defaults? I really don't feel like reinstalling Max.

EDIT: Problem solved. As I suspected, I unknowlingly pressed a shortcut key (In this case O, I presume I meant to press P to make the viewport Perspective again) that toggled on 'Adaptive Degradation' which basically does what I said above. Oh well, thank god that nightmare is over.

you can select the default setting by clicking on the customize menu and selecting load default ui.

hit the 'o' key. This toggles degradation override. You can also manually change it in the viewport options.

That affects the UI only though, as in, if I moved toolbars around, that would reste the toolbars and not specific options or preferences.

Yes, I know, I already answered my own question. You simply repeated what I just said.
