Yes, you can... RichS is just mean ... Just use the command "Make Matrix"
Make Matrix [matrix#],[width],[height],[X segments],[Z segments]
So If you said "Make Matrix 1,1000,1000,20,20" you would create matrix #1 with a width and height of 1000 that is divided into 400 sections (20x20).
Read the manual or look up the tutorials to learn how to use the additional matrix commands. Also, remember to type "Update Matrix 1" before your main loop to make the changes to the matrix visible to the user.

Previously known as "Game_Creator".
The question is, why am I talking to myself? ...... And more importantly, why am I waiting for a reply?

Of course you can ... just not with a single command.

Get MATEdit - that has code that will allow you to load a matrix made using the editor.

*** Coming soon - Network Plug-in - Check my site for info ***

This code:

Will make a matrix which has some random bumps in, the best way of using matrices in db is to use a matrix editor such as MatEdit/Magic World(both available in the showcase) or my new matrix editor which will be able to load matrices into dbc, its not released yet but is getting very close

ok, I didn't explain myself well. I would like to create a matrix in a level editor(I have magic world) and then load it into Dark Basic Classic. I'm not so new to DB to don't know how to create a randomized matrix. Got it?
Thanks

Visit my site and navigate your way to the DB tutorials.(Curved Basic/Darkbasic/tutorials/) and you'll find code on saving matrices and be able to load them again.

I also recommend a few of my introductory tutorials as well.
