As the title suggest, it's WIP, so pls don't think it's the finished model...

neway, it's going to be a medieval style female model, if someone can find me a plugin for max 6 that can export in one of those formats that support mesh deform(that dbp supports) I'll let ppl dl it once it's completed, so long as pll don't use it in a comercial project blah blah... I had a bunch of request from ppl, to model a character of some sort, I'm doing this now to satisfy them so they would stop bothering me...

Hmm... not too sure. But, by looking at it, that model probably has a couple thousand polygons in it... Am I right? If so... That's basically useless for a model in DB, as that would just suck the life out of the program completely!

But, having said that... It's an awesome looking model... and for only 3 hours work... AMAZING!

Keep up the good work
Jess.

it's 2200 polys so far, It'll prolly go to 3000 ish when completed but after I clean it up, it should be around 2000... thats what I'm aiming for anyway(2000 polys). case anyones wondering I just slapped on a material thingy for the "texture" just to give myself a "feel" of what I'm working with.

I don't think I'll update it everyday, I can't do much on school days, prolly only update it every few days when something great changes.

day 2, total working time(Approx): 3 hours 30mins

done the head(no hair yet)(4hours total working time), decided I'll keep iterations on 0, so poly count is 532, it still looks pretty much unchanged, if I clean it up it would prolly be like 450 ish, finalised model is expected to be less the 800 polys

am i the only one who noticed the legs are 2* too long?

either way, the mesh is nice and as said polycount is a tad too high

@Brent Hehe there was nothing to critique! it was great!

Edit: @Toilet Freak, you might want to pad out the feet too, they look a little thin and shapeless. Coming on nicely though

I'm makin' a cake...

Looks good ( but I couldn't get the last 10 images to load )
Though, the legs still are a bit too long, and the feet a too undefined.

Other than that, it's coming along nicely ( And that's constructive critisism, cos I couldn't do half of what you've got there ).

Oh, and what's the poly count on that model so far?

Jess.

the poly count on this one is 908(killed the mesh smooth) I was 108 off what I was hoping, I'm gonna take just as long to texture it as it did model it(8 ish hours).

anyway, it's good to see the "same" crits, means I haven't done something horidly wrong

crits so far: feet and legs need some scaling work, I'll change it in the next update, but personally I like em longer then normal(was kinda deliberate)

Jess:try loading the site again, I finished uploading

Yep, they're all there now...

wow... 908 poly's... That's amazing!!

I just finished modeling a Triple Picture frame, and that came to over 5000! ( But I think I went a bit over-board, lol ).
