Is it just me, or are people who have a NG affiliate link in breach of the T&Cs of this forum? They're trying to make money out of users of this forum....

I have nothing against the NG team for setting up such a system - they're running a business. I take offense to the number of people trying to make money out of this forum though.

If you were MEANT to understand it, we wouldn't have called it 'code'

Good question. Who in particular are though? I haven't seen anyone using the affiliate thing here.

eat much pie for one... I've seen others ... I'm pretty sure the latest C-M-C replacement had it for a while too...

lol.. C-M-C without the hyphens is a bad word.

The other thing better than sliced bread is a nice French stick filled with cheese and pickle. Lovely.

I personally think that 'trying to make money out of this forum' should be allowed. I mean, it's a game makers' board, but they're not allowed to link to their commerical products in their signiture? I certainly don't support unrelated advertising, of course, and I know the line is blurry so it's hard to define the details.

I have no problem with links to your own comerical programs sites etc.
Links to affiliate schemes I would rather not see.

Hey, if you're selling a product you've made in DBP then that's fine. Reselling someone else's through the forum using an affiliate system (which requires no effort) just grinds me. Lemme ask you one thing. Are you going to buy the fine plugin that is NGC through some penny-scrounging work-dodging mofo's affilliate link, or are you gonna give the man himself all the cash?

The line is a bit blurred there - I personally don't have a problem with people pushing their own stuff, as long as it isn't a full page animated gif

I'll *usually* go through the affiliate scheme if that's the way that I found out about the product, but for NG? No chance - I'll go direct.

I went direct, and now my life is much better. My wife has left the milkman and my bank manager hanged himself. Going direct to NG is the only way.

I, for one, fully support NG running an affiliate system.

Wish I'd thought of it...

If someone breaks the rules, does something illegal, or crosses a defined line, let us know so we can take appropriate action. You can reach us at our website or at: admin@nuclearglory.com

The product prices are the same through affiliate links, so you don't lose out by purchasing through an affiliate. We actually encourage purchasing through our affiliates as it helps us in a different way than just sales.
