... you know you don't actually HAVE to click every single link that appears on your screen.

if your curiosity is that high that you have to click something even after being told not to, well quite frankly you deserve everything you get.

not to be funny; but really if you haven't learnt by now especially on the internet to 'look before you leap' then it is about time you learn. there are people unlike David who are willing to take advantage of that guillability; god i can't even count the number of times we've had script kids on here posting a link like,

'Increadible new darkbasic game here!!' you click the link and it'll just keep looping an open window in javascript until you machine crashes.

to be honest if it logs you out, do what i do when i accidentally close the browser (i log on using the default setting); leave the forum alone and get on with some work.

Don't get me wrong i whole heartidly agree with you, the copycats of this such-as Z Interactive; shouldn't do it...
but the reason i'm not against David's is because it isn't false advertise ment and it isn't a trick on his part.

His link clearly states not to click it, it comes with a warning not to click it. Now if you scroll to the top and see Z Interactives which says 'my favourite website link' that I don't agree with simply because it could quite as easily be his favourite site like Neopets or TellyTubbies.com (i dunno what loosers log onto these days )

To be frank, i think alot of users are making a mountain out of the mole hill. Simple fact would be, if this wasn't so widely publicised; most wouldn't have tried or known about it to put in thier 2cents... I know this for a fact as there i another use with the exact same thing in his signature, he ain't a popular user, he doesn't post alot; but it's still there.

Now this is going to be a fad with the sheep geeks, even if David does take it down. You could've asked him in private Indi, this wouldn't have brought so much attention to this.

seriously I don`t think Indi should be a mod, he/she makes some weird mod decisions, more like "do as I say or I kick your teeth in" than the guiding hand, and many (like this) are just plain petty/childish, what was wrong with sending an E-mail to david and keeping it private?, no need for "everybody watch me dictate davids actions to him" type threads, Indi..get a life, get away from that keyboard occasionaly .

Quite a lot of people use the "dont click me" rouse to get people to click the link and follow it to their website. Reverse psychology and all that. That's my two cents. I didn't click it. I checked the status bar, but my first assumption was that it'd be a link to his website.

There's no point to this statement except that you're not necessarily stupid to click a link like that. A lot of people use that approach to encourage traffic.

Signature? No! Obsolete! These days it's all about chip and pin!

I don't think there is anything wrong with David's sig. It warns you not to click it, therefore it's OK. However, apart from Z-Interactive's sig being a lame copy of Davids, it doesn't warn you where it is going, therefore it could annoy quite a few people. Also looking at Z's above posts, he seems to be an immature little noob and I agree with Moonshine that he should be shot.
