i need to model a bunny(for my compo entry) and i need some "concept art" so i can model it.

preferably these angles...
-front
-side
-top

so if somebody could point me to a place where i could find this or make concept art for me i would be thankfull.

(or a 3D bunny that i could edit )

[edit] and yes i do know this is sort of a weird request
[edit2] oh BTW did i mention the bunny is going to be the main character?

Mag,

Give us a bit more info...
Do you want it to be a little rabbit that you might see in the bush's or do you want it to be a huminoid rabbit?

Or some sort of mechanical rabbit... Or what?

Jess.

ok just a rabbit of normal proportions that "hops" on four legs

if anything maybe a little cartoony(does not have to be ultra realistic )

and it's not a robot

There, it's not that good. But its badness might persuade someone to draw something decent out of pity.

Sigh, I'll see if my friend has a digital camera. She's the vice president for Heartland Rabbit Rescue.

My rabbit loving friend would be more than glad to help. Her first suggestion is to visit the photo section at this Yahoo group.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Bunny-Rabbit-Mail/

You will find tons and tons of photos (the gallery labeled Belle is her flemish giant.) She has a digital camera and will probably flood my in box with bunny photos this weekend.

She was also chatting away at a mile a minute about rabbit habits, forms of locomotion, and stupid pet tricks (they're really playful once they get to know you.) She's even offered to copy of video tape she made of her rabbit in full play mode if you need that level of animation detail.

Thanks!

i don't need lots of animation the only animations i'm going to make are...

-walk(or rather "hop")
-jump
-"shuffle"(will be used for turning, and will consist of feet "shuffling" and maybe tail twitching)

According to Shadow, rabbits shuffle/crawl, hop, or 'binky'. The later movement is a total bat-sh!t crazy vertical jump with improvised acrobatics. (I'm not making that up, really.) I guess that's something to save until you want to add rag doll physics to your rabbits.

I'll probably get the additional images on Monday. She said that she'll try to get some head on shots, limbs, bottoms of feet, and perhaps some action shots as well. [It's safe to say she's proud of her pet.] Hopefully, the photo gallery can get you started until the other images are ready.

Try this page: http://www.junglewalk.com/photos/Rabbit-pictures.asp It has a few great pic sequences of a bunny hopping, so you should be able to animate nicely

And also I found some via google, and uploaded them for you
http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~jessticular/bunny/

Enjoy

Jess.

@JessTicular-thanks! i pulled some shots from those places

i still haven't managed to find all the nessesary angles for modeling...(they all need to be the same scale also... )

the one that's been hardest to find is from straight above.

Why don't you just box model the rabbit. You only really need a side view. The rabbit is fairly symetrical, you can guess the nose shape etc. I would make you one but I am already modelling a load of stuff.

Hmmm... For Directly Above, try googling image for "Bunny Back" or "Rabbit Back" or some variation, I bet you'll get just what you're after.

And to have images at the same scale, just resize the different images to the size of the smallest one, simple

The only thing you have to worry about is the different body orientations of the rabbit, such as turned head, or no turned head.

Jess.

[EDIT]
I just looked over the ones I'd uploaded for you, and there is a directly down one in there for you ( you can't see the tail, but it's close enough )
