This is what i have before the main menu loop, just sorting out my sprites but it takes absolutely ages, over 30 seconds to load up, maybe over a minute. any ideas oin how to do the same thing but speed it up?

What does all that sprite stretching do? Maybe you can load the sprites in their correct proportions.

It is basically setting up the sprites to load at the right size and place depending on the screen resolution, so that the user can change the resolution and the images and menu buttons will still fit. This seems to take a very long time, im sure well over a minute maybe two. It works fine but it juts takes a very long time, im sure it should not take this long.

Edit: the sprite stretching was added after i noticed the long loading time, i dont think it adds much time to the whole thing.

Actually, if this is DBPro I think it had a slowdown when it first came out. They fixed it I think in later patches. Have you got the latest DBPro patches?
