No, I dont think rich would send you a virus and make it so blatantly obvious. Its probably been hijacked or rich has a forwarding virus.

Looks like he has a virus on his PC - that or it's actually somebody deliberately sending those emails to anybody who has their address publically viewable.

I dunno about an email attachment virus, but I keep getting that sad old waste of time making Trojan virus

Did you know someone in Germany was arrest for a virus "Brown Bread"

Maybe I should code a virus that deletes every site, every web page, hahaha..soz

Most viruses spoof the from address and get if from either the address book or any document of the affected persons computer. Probably someone on the forum though.

Nothing to do with me, my PC is squeaky clean. Most viruses these days appear to be from someone in your address book/inbox, even though they're not. If you want proof, just look at the RFC mail header of the message. I guarantee it didn't come from my our ISP.

I'll bet it came from his own computer. I had the same thing happen to me a while back. I got a virus off the network and my computer was sending me e-mails from everyone on my address list

lol... well i know it ain't from here, cause i know the virus' my computer has atm

that said i still haven't setup outlook as that seems to be the only way these buggers can spread.
webmail is the way to go

I sincerely hope you're joking Webmail is dangerous. Everybody should set their email clients to text only. And it's not just Outlook that does this. I get undelivered email in my inbox every day and I use Mozilla's Thunderbird.

There should a viruses 101 course before people start using the internet-- the problem with some people isn't a matter of stupidity, but ignorance-- I mean, 90% of viruses these days cloak themselves, but so few people seem to know about it .

I have set my email client to text only now for about a year cause lots of those fun wee emails have scripts tah call out to bigger web pages full of nastier stuff.

i have not had a virus after i switched to text only in my email.

i do run active pop scanner and a web scanner.

Web mail is often safer because it is often plain text (not even RichText), not to mention it technically is never on your system; you display the information as part of a webpage... only the server has the real email, so it's thier problem if it has a virus

Doesn't have to be YOUR address book. Can be anyones.

Like I said, look at the mail headers (not that to/from crap, but the actual real RFC headers) and you'll see EXACTLY where it came from - and it wasn't me.

You could use webmail, or you could just use a decent email client in the first place (read: NOT Outlook or anything Microsoft). I use The Bat and have done for years now and will never switch to anything else. It's the most stable and feature packed mail client for Windows and isn't stupid enough to let any script viruses in. It doesn't look so pretty, so if you're expecting something "cute and fluffy", don't even waste your time on it - but for the pros, it's superb.

I just use T-Email now; the only bad point about it is the damn interface is pink... but it's quite and for a webmail Linux compatible is very well featured.

That probably has more to why i use webmail, because there isn't a universal runtime mail component; everything is different.
And to be perfectly honest, tacky looking and feeling programs make my skin crawl. Which is why I tend to use the Microsoft stuff more; cause they don't feel like they've been cobbled together with gum and ducktape.

If you keep your virus checker updated and run a firewall then youll cut down the risks no end.
Personally Outlook has never been a problem with me, Ive had 3 notifications (in 2 years) from my ISP about virii that they have blocked ,which would have been detected at my end anyway, so to me it is double the protection.

I think I know who the culprit is.

Z interactive has recentlly taken to sending me Emails.

Both Rich and I are on his contact list, so he must have stupidly let a virus infect his computer.

Needless to say, I have kindly told him to stop emailing me.

About 10 times a day, I get an unknown user email bounced back to my personal address from "suchabody@danwood.co.uk". I have no idea who this domain is, whoever does know who it is ... CLEAN YOUR BLOODY PC!

yeah! and all those are of 43-63 Kb not?? I have all of them too, I always delete them...some says "important informations!" or undelivered mails and all that...I don't know why they even bother...
