lmao... i feel they're all against me here, like 5 people have asked me to actually put up my picture - and i guess, if Rose thinks it that i should then ... i dunno probably gonna regret this but she can post that one up if she likes.

probably am taking this all a little too serious DG, but then again somethings that go on you can't sit back and just take like a joke. i think yeah i like Rose cause she's a cute girl (^_^) but also cause from what she's told me, i don't doubt she won't be working somewhere with me profesionally in like the next 10years. That is if she pursuses becomming a professional programmer, however if nothing else hopefully she'll keep on as a bedroom developer

but we'll see what happens with her term project.

I really think you're starting to get hostile now. Calm down and stop insulting me. I have tried to be friends but that's a personal insult.

There are some reasons why I want to work alone at the moment. The games I'm working on now don't require anyone else because they are simple and smal. But I have said it many times and I say it again, I HAVE A TRACKER WORKING FOR ME, so I'm not alone.

Thanks to DBP I don't need another programmer for now, maybe later. I will need artists later and I have already talked to a possible swedish girl (with some potensial) about maybe do some work for me. She's a friend of mine. I will team up with another friend that will write the script as it's built on his world.

I think you really need to get of your high horses mr I-am-never-wrong. I know you want to have your own developement company but there you are working for someone else. And here I am working hard on my company living my dream, not someone elses.

well it wasn't ment as an insult ... buht whatever

don't bring up any shit about me having to work for someone else, because as far as i'm aware YOU don't work you're given a hand out. And no doubt you only have to support yourself...
If my life was that easi perhaps i wouldn't of been working where i have been!

But no unlike you i have 2 properties to pay rent for, i have family to support, i have myself to support, i have alot of bill for my own company which i can't actually spend every waking hour dealing with because i have had to work as well!
Oh plus the purchasing of updated software licences for two companies ... one so i can work offsite and one for FMTau.

if you know any other way where i can pay around $80,000 worth of bills per year then please do tell

my bet is you've never done an honest days work in your life if you think life is still all fluffy ... i mean good luck to you and everything but i don't see it working out myself.
maybe i don't have the most active company, but atleast it is still here after almost 7 years!
i've know alot of other development houses that have died within a mere 2-3years

The truth still is that you work for someone else and I work on my dream.

It's not my fault that you are paying for so much. And my support isn't comming for free. If I don't work on my game it stops and if it wasn't for my university studies it would be lower.

I have sure worked some in my life, but most time I have spent studying.

It's very easy to keep a company alive. I can keep mine alive until I die without haveing to do anything but send in some papers every year.

o_O ... you guys both need to just calm down... my life isnt fluffy right now either... i dont have a family YAY... the only person i can be around and stand is my brother... my mom hit me when i was little and called me names and is constantly putting down my father... they got divorced when i was 5... and since then my father had been nice... until about 4 years ago i think... when he started getting wierd... he wont go outside... he almost crys when he sees us... hes hard to talk to... i see him about once every 3 months or longer... o_O he flakes... doesnt call me... and my mom keeps talking shit about him... then she threatens to take away my computer... well then what... what would i do... sit around like her... shes a fucking bitch... or become like my father who doesnt talk to anyone but his girlfriend for months...

(sorry i had to vent... i just saw my dad yesturday when he flaked about going out with my bro and me to dinner... then he didnt call for my bros birthday which was on the 31st... and my sis and i had to show up at his house for him to see her before she went back to college... but you know whats odd... i like my dad more than my mother.... =( if only the god damn state didnt make him use toluene... i destroyed the left frontal cortex of his brain... and makes it so he has to use dexadrene... a type of speed to be normal... life sux)

fine then take it as an insult DG cause quite frankly i don't care how you take things ...
Your support is as good as free, because just to show you've done work is enough - but think about it in DarkBasic Pro, you can simply do a day or two of actual work and skyve the rest ... and you're also being given a handout because your in schooling which is a double insult here because if i want to resume schooling in either the UK or US i still have to work damnd full time just to afford it.

Personally i'd love nothing better than to sit back and be able to goto school again and just work on DBpro all freaking day - but life is just not that Rosie, and as soon as you end up having to support the company all on your own it won't be a simple fact of just sending off a piece of paper saying it is still alive.
And i'm sure there are enough people here who can testify that EVEN being in a company they ARE still working fulltime for others.
You do what you must to make sure you can support everything DG, you friends, family and dreams ... and it pissing my off here that you have such an immature attitude towards all of this, like what will you do when your subsiduary runs out?
How are you to pay the licences for the Software your using FOR all the employees of the company, remembering that the licence bill is greater for offsite people because they all must be on the company licence because you're not legally allowed to let them use Personal Editions!
How are you you going to calculate tax, remembering that if you do it wrong the Audit Services will crawl through your company with a fine-tooth combe!
I really don't think you quite understand that EVEN with grants for small buinesses how hard it is actually going to be.
What are you going to do about a publisher?
Just put all your hopes that it will all work out once you're finished, publish & PR yourself, currently talking with people??

As the manager you can't just sit back and think "oh well i've got school and programming to do, nm the rest" ... you have a hell of alot of responsibilities, that if you don't smart up to and start doing know - when you finally HAVE to do them it will hit you and your company like a tonne of bricks!

thats what i love about db ^_^... no license fees... no royalties.. but i think everyone in here will agree to putting a lil darkbasic logo at the start of there programs...
