It all depends on the games context really;
Personally I like all types of games and usually give everything atleast one go (but then i'm like that with almost everything about life... can't damn something if you've never tried it )

It is possible to have a nice awesome RPG set in the Future which is slow pace like Final Fantasy 7
but also have one which is set in the past but is fast paced like Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles

Same goes for FPS; Doom3 is a good slow paced game, Doom2 is a good fast paced game... Exact same context different angle on it.

You can quite easily see that really if your skilled enough you can make anything work.

Thanks for all the replies, gives me an idea of what people are into. Dont expect to see me make anything soon though (or of good quality when i do) ive got all my exams now when their done i can start working on something, but ive got to learn dbpro first i know that sounds stupid, havent had time yet, dont worry, im not expecting to make an epic game in a week like some people ive seen around here .

[edit] I was thinking if i wait a while to start anyway it might all roll out nicely and happen around the time they release a dbpro book, hmm..

What to you call all those example programs? Read the source, use the help files. Nearly everything you need to learn can be found that way for DBP.
