hey,
ive been trying out dbp but the problem is, the sync rate will never go higher than 4. thats really a problem. ive downloaded some other games like rocket board, or limit rush, that were made in dbp and they run perfectly, 60 so fps. my comp stats are below, any help appreciated!

in the top left corner where it shows the stats, it had
red: 4
green: 2
time: ...
but even, like the demos that come with dark basic run that slow.

Make sure you've got the latest video drivers, like Direct X 9.0b

You may need to set either window mode or full screen mode.

i have directx 9.0 installed. about the window or fullscreen mode, how would i change that?

[edit] well, i found how to do that with the set window on command, but that only increased it to 6 or 7 fps.

i checked my graphics card and its fine. it has direct3d acceleration and everything, i should upgrade though, it only has 8mb memory with it. but its only slow when i try to create my own programs, if i run others that other people have made in darkbasic that are in .exe format they run perfectly. any insight?

In the editor, select either a display setting of FULL SCREEN or Windowed Desktop - this is in the settings tab. Then compile.

OMG!!! cool thank you soo much! I know what it was now! I was opening dbp and just writing the code from the main window and not making or opening a new project, thank you now the frame rate is 60-80 constant yeah! Now I'm going to go conquer the gaming industry! Mwahaha! :p Stop laughing @ me! :p Aaa poo. Ill show u later!!! :p
