Newcomers DBPro Corner / Question about command prompt

I was wondering if there was any way to access command prompt in dbpro.

for example, in quickbasic, the 'shell' command allowed you to use the command prompt

on a 2000 or XP machine you can call cmd.exe

EXECUTE FILE

eg
execute file "winmine.exe","",""
will run minesweeper.

actually, what i meant was is there a command which, doesn't open command prompt window but rather allows u to type in a command which is from part of the command prompt and then runs it (if u know what i mean).

Like the shell command in quickbasic (if anyone knows quickbasic)

write a batch file from code then execute the batch
