Why does the following line of code do absolutly nothing, and why are there no examples of this command in the help:

set text font "courier"

Yes I have done a topic search, yes that is where I found this syntax, no it did not help at all

it`s self explanitory, if you have a font called courier on your system then DB will change to that font and use it for printing and text commands from then onwards, if for some reason the command fails, then it will continue to use the default font, I assume from that that you don`t either have a font called courirer on your system, or for some reason it failed to load or that it was so similar to the font you where already using so you didn`t notice the difference.

EVERYONE has Courier

its that typwriter font where the characters are all equaly spaced and the same size

hell, this font on the message window im typing in now looks like courier to me

It's not couriour, I know since I download fonts for fun, oh yeah the command works, even I (a noob) know that...
