Im new here, but I have had DarkBasic and Darkbasic Pro for about 1 year, just whipped out the boxes yesterday, installed and did the updates. I dont know what to expect from this language but from the results from the alienware comp., it looks promising. Only thing is i suck at graphics and know nothing about 3d modeling programs : )

anyway i just wanted to introduce myself and say hi

thanx

Uhh, hey, yeah, is there a reason you joined the forums 2 months ago and only posted today?

I never did much 3D modelling before I used DB. Then I found Anim8or, and it was soooo easy. It only works for none animated stuff though like buildings, and cars n stuff.

Should have a good number of links for both free and commercial software.

A great way to start in order to get a general understanding of 3d modeling is Doga: http://www.doga.co.jp/english/index.html

Once you have the hang of something like that you can try real 3d modeling. Personaly I use 3d Canvas but I still use Doga some to whip up quick models.

You just made it a flamewar by making that comment, mine was an honest question which I'd still like to know the answer to.
