In anticipation for 5.3 coming out and hopefully a boom in ED's prodcution, Ive created a couple Eternal Destiny background images. They are available in both 800*600 and 1024*768. If anyone really felt the need to go past 1024*768, if theres enough of you that actually want this, tell me and I'll make one. Please only tell me if you really want to use it tho

Well we havent had much to post for updates. Mostly we are just doing research while waiting for update 5.3 or 6. We've been hunting around, trying to find scenes in games that we think would work well in parts of ours.

We're trying to build a new site with flash and PHP but we cant find anyone to help :-| We're working on a login system where I could be able to login and post announcements and add screenshots without having to re-upload the entire site.

We will announce whenever we release something, so its best to just sit back and wait.

To be honest I wouldn't use a game name on windows even if it was a great game like Half Life. I might use a game screenshot of some sort, but the graphics would have to be amazing.

Yeah, that's what I did Pinch, I put FarCry on it's max video settings and grabbed a nice screenshot of an island with a chopper flying round it .

RPGamer, I like the desktop images, but I prefer a plain, blue background on my desktop. Easier on the eyes.

Just the opening menu. Im taking some peoples suggestions to cut out a 3D Menu. DBP's Compile w/Media isnt working for me thouugh...I might just upload the rar with media files included OR code a en/decrypter.

Why do a menu? Because we are waiting for 5.3/6 to do any engine work -_- We are bored as hell and need something to do!

Contrary to popular belief, doing the menu is a good way to start a project. I say this because then you can plan ahead for such things as.

1.) Getting your features down.
2.) An options page. This is the most important thing. If you want to build your game for more compatibility, an options page is a good place to start. This way you can build your game around options (such as shadows, different resolutions, shaders, etc.) and you won't stab yourself in the foot coming back to them later.

Personal preference I guess, but like RPG said, we need 5.3 to do some work.

The pic would've been good, if there was an accompanying screeny instead of pure black in the background. But at the moment, it's just the title of a game that average gamers haven't heard of.

Mike we havent coded options yet. Right now the menu is a demo of some nifty alphablending effects. Does -anyone- know how to get compile with media to work?

Menus and title screen have always been thrown on at the end in my case. In terms of code and design, your title screen should be a flashy as your game - if you make pong, nobody wants to hear heavy metal and watch FMV sequences before they play.

What are you guys waiting for patch 5.3 for? - I mean is it a bug, or a feature you want to use, or are you waiting for the new terrain system?

No offence but who apart from the people on your team are going to want to put a logo of your game on their desktop?

It'd be nice to see some up to date screens of the game
As Van B says, your title screen is only as flashy as the game.

Unless of course we're tlaking about F-Zero GX. That had the worst title screen I've ever seen.

OK, I agree a good menu is often overlooked. Anyone who's played Chronicles of Riddick on Xbox should see what a cool menu looks like. Please let me rephrase my statement:

So we can click on stuff but not play the game!?
