Things I've discovered...
1.it helps if it is step by step...
2.it also helps if there are loads of pics(I can't do video yet)
3.clear instructions and .....
is there anything else...

...because i'm busy writing or trying to write a good modelling tutorial for complex human characters. I'm going to follow more or less the same pattern that was used in the gamespace video tutorials. To make it easier to followand quite easy to understand.I'll keep it as similar as possible...

any input will do..

keep it so its universal. I really hate those tutorials that teach you how to make 1 model and then you have to find another tutorial to make a different model.

I should have changed my signature when asked

What makes a good tutorial is experience and the ability to convey something so that people understand.

a tutorial is suppose to help people learn,
not give them an instructional guide to exactly what to achieve.

Shelf Instructions Teach you one thing - How to build a set of shelves.
A Tutorial on howto build Shelves - Shows you the techniques used to build the shelf which can be applied to other things like dressers and cupboards.

What I am doing is writing a tutorial on how to make a basic human male and female body(which I call body primitives) then I am going to teach how to develop these primitives into something with more detail...and hopefullly after a couple of tutorials the learner would have developed sufficient knowledge to do human characters and clothing...then I'll start on skinning, texture drawing, and maybe animation.
I would also like to do special effects for levels and level design...because I havent seen to many of those tutorials...especially when it comes to rendering a good atmosphere for a forest stage....I would like to do some on giles too(once I learn it...I'm buying it this week ..YAY)

I understand that thanks....thats the impression I got from the elf tutorial.

well I'm trying to write a tutorial on how to be a carpenter(in those terms...lol)

This all stems from my failure with the character kit....so I thought I would find a better way to create my own models and then teach what I have learned to the public...so that they can build their own character kit....
