Who has this with serten sources too? You save a new version, for example mygame2 then mygame3, then the 2nd version blacks out, does nothing, you have to reboot. Then the version before that won't work anymore either (!!!!)

I even kept making new directorys and putting back backups and first it would work, then black out, and the same problem again. I'm so sick and tired of it that I stopped coding for the night and gave up my last source all together.

What can I do to prevent this or perhaps delete something (I tried deleting the temp files, and with windows washer my temp gets cleaned every bootup) to at least be able to keep working with it?!

I shouldn't have any virus since I have Norton with auto update and I scan my drives daily.

Like I said I'm sick and tired of this problem, totally fed up with it.

Oh and btw: Darkbasic pro? Even buggier in my experience, so I won't even use this. I even bought a new PC for pro and have it bought but its USELESS.

Maybe you don't have correct system requirements. Do you have XP or newer? Because if you do, you may get a few bugs due to the fact that DBC is meant for 95,98 and ME.

Check your system requirements and see.

1. Try a different IDE
2. DB Pro works fine for me, but I am prepared to find workarounds where the first solution doesn't work.
3. Are you confusing DB with your backups and copies? In DB Pro, for example, the dbpro file contains explicit paths. So if I copy c:\MyProject to c:\Mybackups, it still picks up the files from c:\MyProject.

Different IDE? And yes, I bought a new PC even for DBPro, DBPro in my opinion bites wind.

Also, I use 98SE, so classic shouldn't have a problem.

Do you have DarkEDIT?

You can get it from the Showcase area on the DarkBASIC home page.

There are also alternates, such as Code Keeper, and there is also another that has been developed as a joint DBC and DBP IDE.

Jess.
