Why cant EAX work on DBC? please help

Could be that you need to purchase the enhanced version, or your hardware does not support it. Could you please be more specific?

what kind of sound card do you have? I think EAX is only supported on SB Live cards and higher. You also need the enhancement pack for DB.

i have an MSI 5.1 channel built in soundcard. I also have the DBC enhanced version, otherwise, my compiler will treat the command SET EAX as an "unknown command". i also tested the EAX effect on players like WinAmp and the MSI sound Manager and they work great-meaning that my card can support EAX. But when i try to use it, nothng changes in the way the sound is produced. How bout yours??? Does it work|?

The codes for eax are working fine for me only i hear no difference.
between the normal and the eax sound.

yeah there doesn't seem to be any difference to it, not sure if that is XP though. I remember it did used to work; could get someone to try this on a 95/98/ME PC see if they can get it working right cause then you'll know if it's an XP problem or not.
even my Creative hardware wouldn't play it correctly.

the EAX commands work for me on both XP an 98
