Hello, I want to make a wrench (sounds simple) but don't want to make the hole (which you normaly put around your bolt ) with extruding all the time in wings. That's the background of it, now here comes my question.
Imagine yourself a cylinder, but you don't want to make a cylinder but a pipe. Is there a way to 'cut' a hole through the cylinder so you would have a pipe?

I also have 3dsmax, have you got an answer for me?!

Can't you select the verticys at the ends of the cylinder and delete them?

with 3dsmax you can use the boolean function for that, you can find it under compound objects.

In 3ds max you can make a tube primative which is a pipe you make it like a cylinder at first then you can drag your mouse again to choose howbig the center hole is (thats in max 4+ anyways)
