Assuming matrix number is 1, and where a# is the angle of rotation.

He said .x file not matrix.

If you're using DBP, read up on the pick object command and the pick vector commands. Using those you'll get a 3D coordinate and then you can start writing code to make your character walk to that location.

This question had come up recently on the DBP forum. "Object move after mouse" or something like that.

If you're using DBC, check the code snippet database. Some of these may help...

That might be what he meant, but its not what he said. Load an X file then make it walk on terrain. Not load an X file then walk on it like terrain.

Good point, it is easy to read it either way.

How do i load a .x file then making it walk (on terrain) by push of a button.

How do i load a .x file then making it (walk on) terrain by push of a button.

Gotta love English, language of confusion.

Or is 'Death From Above' talking about animation. He/she does say 'walk' not 'move'.

Granted 'Death From Above' still needs code like that provided by Phaelax.
