After the following 3 lines of code



in Visual Basic, x = 3 and in DBP, x = -1. Why is that so ?

What the ... ? It prints -1 for me in DBP ? Errr... I TRULY need some explanation on that one

(by the way, if I write x = x * (-1), it also prints 3. But without the parenthesis, it writes -1).

Sounds to me like you have NEVER updated your DBPro as there was an old error to do with multyplying be -1

From patch 3 release notes:

Quote: "Due to a parse error, A = A * -1 with spaces caused the equation to produce the wrong result"


Suggest you quickly toddle off to download area and get update 5.1 or 5.2 While you are there, get the editor (IDE) updates as well.

You are missing loads of bug fixes and new features if never updated from V1 thats on the CD. See the 'bug' forum and sticky thread about previous releases for full details of whats been fixed
