Hey people I need the biggest camera range because my level is huge and I hate the disapearing object thing.

you can go pretty big, i've used 100000 before and din't get any errors, but maybe it would be worth scaling down the world?

For our game, I'm using 100000 and it hasn't caused any slow-downs that I can notice.

You might want to consider using fog.

Using fog is kinda bland. You have to get the colour/color just right for the background which can tend to make the ground look like a semi-transparent football pitch.( you might want to ignore that...)

I've already done fog. It doesn't seem to look to good for business. I wish you could adjust the thickness of fog . Maybe I could do this:

[b]Make a cube the size of the screen.
Texture it.
Set transparency or ghost object on.
Position it 500 units out or summat like that.
Cheers,
Nick.

It is. But your also ghosting it so you can see through it. I do that alot myself. It allows me to easily change the colour of the sky by just using the BACKDROP COLOR command.
