Police cars aren't special cars, depending on what country through usually depends on what Car Make & Model is used.

I realize that, I was just hoping to find some refs with lights on top so I can make it look right.

just do an eye judgement; that's what most artists do.
:: is talking from exp here ::

just grab yourself 2/3 pictures of a police car and try to make it look right, doesn't have to be exacting scale and such.
alot of american police dept love to show off thier vehicle units online.

Thanks for the experienced advice Raven, I apreciate it. As it turns out the American government's showing off has helped me greatly. I found a nice bp at governmentacquisitions.com of all the places .

edit:
If anyone is interested, since I am making many many models of cars I found two good sites for vehical blueprints they are: http://3dcenter.ru/blueprints/ (not english but very good none-the-less) and http://www.onnovanbraam.com/index.php?m=blueprints&g=cars.
