Had to answer a few questions, including the size of the development team. Didn't exactly tell the truth on that one...

LOL, when you're an indie developer, there's no difference between lead programmer and only programmer.

Got an e-mail back from GameSpy - it'll cost $1995 (around £1087) to join and be able to download the SDK.

If everyone sends me £100, we could join...

Personally, i would never have anything to do with gamespy.
I used to use it, but now the servers are so slow that it takes me about 5 minutes to log on and another 10 to get into the game lists.
The gamespy team are blatatly 56kist, with screenfilling 1mb flash adverts about games that it knows i already have, and sometimes when i am playing a game, lagging me completely.
What is more they seem to support piracy, offering the ability to play on line, fooling the game into forgoing it's cd-key checks, because it is using the lan connection setup in game.

Yes, I'm no fan of GameSpy - seems to be rather unstable.

Im pretty sure if we all sent the £100, that TCA would find some other devious use for it than buying the stupid gamespy SDK.

The 3d chat is coming...
In the meantime, come in the IRC. Ask me for details!!.

In a similar vein, does anyone know anything about getting a Yahoo IMvironment license? It would be a hoot to mix DBP and IM that way.

I hate fileplanet(because they make you pay just to download freeware files without waiting an hour just to start downloading).

For IM, Messenger has an SDK system, which you could look at.
