I was just browsing Gamedev and saw this and thought "Man, if only I'd found this a year ago."

Sample game design documents to download in .doc format, and articles on general game design. Ranging from proposals, to general design, to technical design.

Argh, I kinda have a grudge against GameDev. They told me to start off with C++

So I tried for an entire year, no luck.

Then, one day I found Dark Basic and bought it and thought, "Man, if only I'd found this a year ago."

Lol. . But, if you say it's worth reading, than I shall click the link right now...well...after I click 'Post Message'...

I know they focus on C++, I ignore all the tech stuff unless it can easily be applied in DB--the real juice is in their design articles.

Nobody interested? It's worthwhile to check it out--one thing I see with the new guys coming in (and I was the same way) is they don't take the time to plan out their game and their code gets all jumbled so that they add several unnecessary hours of debugging time.
