I've been working on a strategy game for a week or so now..
Plain 2D graphics. (and it will stay that way)
Got one screenshot from it:

Well, I remember playin Keiser on the C64 and that was a great game. I can't tell what this is like, but it could be good.

Anyone remember Impressions 'The Blue and the Grey' on the Amiga? Maybe it will be something like that. Would be cool, and 'easy' to do in 2D. More screenies

There are no battle animations, i'm not the best at graphics. I will probably need some assistance from someone (hint, hint artists on this board). It would certainly be neat with some animations.
I will soon post a link to a playable executable online.
But its still really early in development

The object of the game so far is to win the "war" against the computer army. You recruit troops, buy canons and so on as the war goes on. You have a certain amount of money. So far the only way of getting more money is the interest% profit that you get every day. Anyone have any suggestions?

can you actully move units around? set up formations? Attack/defend? etc etc...

That might add a bit of depth...

Yeah, even just moving where the troops stand? So if they stand at the front then they have a higher attack but weaker defence, at the back, less attack(weaker accuracy) but more defense?

TheAbomb12: Nopes, havent got around to that yet. Perhaps i never will, would be really complicated

ReD_eYe: Sounds like a really great ideal And wouldn't be too hard to implement

I like the look of this but would prefer it if it was a kind of anime style. It would be cool. Thats just what I think though, and if your going for that kind of look then good luck to you anyway. keep up the good work.
