You can download the model here:
MS3D: http://andrew11.dbspot.com/maincharfinal.ms3d
X: http://andrew11.dbspot.com/maincharfinal.x
Texture: http://andrew11.dbspot.com/mainchar.bmp

The model above has animations but they do not work in Dark Basic Classic. Could somebody fix it or give it new running animation?

OK, but it's a big list I am however, committed to making this game so any modelling will not be in vain...

(All as seperate models)

Running
Jumping
Inline Skating (with wheels added to feet and feet black)
Pogosticking (with pogostick)
Swimming motion with snorkle
Crouching (with pads attached to hands)
Crouching behind shield (with shield model in front)

All these of the top of my head. Some of them will require extra objects ie: pogostick, rollerblades, shield, pads...
Enough work for you?

Thanks

Just a candid note - if for whatever reason you give up then please just tell me straight so I'm not left hanging by a thread for a model that will never arrive. It's happened before

Hey,
I've just had a look at your model and i think i found your problem.
First, you need to assign every vertice to a joint of the skeleton in milkshape, otherwise it won't export properly.
Secondly, you need to use the following export settings with the Direct X(JT) exporter :

I've uploaded a zip with the model both in .x and .ms3D formats, along with a modified texture (to make it more efficient more efficient on the memory , hope you don't mind )
Get it here
However, i didn't make any animations, but you can easily make them or have them made by someone else now that you know how to export the model properly to work with DB.

Hope this helps,

Grismald

Doh..

so that was the problem?

I will work on the animations now that Grismald has kindly explained the problem and made a better skeleton that will owrk in DBC. (THANKS!). Oh and the texture is big because I origionally included textures for the hands and feet, but Drew told me to forget them, and I never bothered to change it.

Anyway,
@phoenix insane Surreal Studio
If you still want to do the animations, you can otherwise Ill do them or we could do them together, w/e works.

@Drew Cameron
Im sorry this has taken so long, but I will work on the animations again and hopefully you will have your model soon

@Grismald
Thanks again!

Sounds cool - we're on the move.

@ Phoneix Insane Studios - sorry, but could you wait a few days until pursuing the models any further. If Andrew 11 can do it, it might be best for him to take over seeing as he created the models.
Thanks for all your help

Good luck Andrew.
