I\'m not sure it is

I really liked the blue colour of the darkbasicpro section and juding from links people post to other topics I can see they too had their preferences.

Will it be possible in future to change the colour again? I really don\'t like this silver :\'(

To be honest I reckon most people only posted links like that because they come in via darkbasicpro.com (and not the TGC site) - but yeah I know, the colour headers are gone for the moment so it's defaulting to the TGC one, I will maybe do something about this tomorrow.

I always prefered the nice blue/purple look of developer/dbpro.tgc.com too, but the std grey/silver is what i saw more often cause i'd come in via the www

(then again i don't see what was wrong with the old image scheme either)

you ever looked up colour symbolism?

Green = Logical Thinking
Blue = Creative
Red = Passionate
Yellow = Power

etc... i'll have a look later and see if i can't rustle up a site on it. Your favourite colours tend to explain what kind of person you are though *aparently*

Hey Rich while your messing around with the text input script how about adding in things to allow us to write in like

*bold* would = bold
_line_ would = line
/italy/ would = italy

it's just on Mozilla/FireFox it's a pain to use the buttons cause you can't select and use them and you can't simply go back and alt-b or whatever cause both add them to the end rather than cursor position.

And I'm fully expecting for IBM to make a comeback sometime soon. We're getting to the end of what we can do with silicon, and with IBM's research into nanotechnology, I expect them to patent something really cool and make lots of money.

What do you mean make a comeback? IBM have the been the highest turnover computer company since the 70s.
Currently they're designing (and will be producing) the processors from Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Macintosh and NVIDIA.

I'd hardly say that they have ever really gone away.

the [] tags are not easily accessed when your touch typing, so they add alot of time each time you use them. so basically, yeah it is difficult.

I meant into mainstream processors for PCs. I know that they make a fair bit of money, but not many people I know do. But I still think they'll come up with some kind of nano-processor and make even more money.

I kinda like the color scheme in LLRGT, but the forum needs something to make it distinct. Changing the entire color scheme of the forum kinda ruins the consistency between it and the main TGC pages though, so the choices are to customize them both, leave the colors alone, or have a forum that looks like it's off-site.

edit: I was referring to skinning the forum.

arkheii - originally the forum picked up the colour scheme of the site you were on (DB, DBPro, DM, etc) and changed accordingly. But now it's defaulting to the TGC colour scheme because of code changes. I will allow for theme selection though, maybe a new profile option.

Lol, you cna change the colour of buttons, maybe possible to put in the stylesheet

I prefer a nice pastel gradient on my buttons.

I actually prefer the grey, default one (ie, the one now). And whenever I clicked someones link to a different colour forum I made sure to close that browser when I was done with the thread.

You're kidding, right? I mean you use a UK keyboard layout where you don't even have to press shift/ctrl/alt to type [ and ]. How is that difficult?

I have a UK keyboard and you need to either move your right hand ring finger a bit to the right or use your little finger. Neither which I like

As long as you don't use a French, Spanish, German etc keyboard layout (all these need AltGr + another key)...
And remember not to program in Smalltalk (or use arrays in C or Pascal).

I'm sure Rich has a bunch things on his list that are more important than this.
