I have a "website"(nothing on it) at Dbspot.com(thanks to Jimmy )

and i need to know how to upload my entry for the "Indie Acoders Compo" onto the website(as a .rar)

I also need to know withen the next month...

Using an FTP Client (such as http://www.smartftp.com) upload your file to the ftp server Jimmy e-mailed you. Then when you submit the game to acoders, just give them the URL on the submission form.

Or you could use http://www.dbspot.com/net2ftp/
I think the bigest file you can upload is 50Mb, if your game is bigger you will have to use a proper ftp client. I use filezilla.

the size limit for the compo is 15megs so i don't have to worry about being over 50megs

i'll try uploading a demo to test it...(now i need to convert what i have so far into a demo )

okay i tried both of those but i'm too stupid to figure either out
how do i get a file on my hard drive onto the internet(any website, mine or somebody elses, it doesn't matter) so other people can download it...

i really need to know this before the compo ends

if anybody has put a file on the internet so somebody else can download it(and i know lots of you have) please tell me EXACTLY how you did it

Go to http://www.dbspot.com/net2ftp

Input the details that i hope Jimmy sent you. Then login. Go to the upload button (to the left below the files section). Then when the new page comes up, browse for the file on your hard drive, press ok and then click the green tick. Whe the new page loads the file has uploaded (this may take a while)

The file will now be uploaded. Ta-dum
