I have noticed that people's images and files have been pretty slow so i decided to throw this site together. You may upload any file up to 5 mbs in size for free without registration. I hope that this helps Ps please click the google ad

Well that is not hard at all. All it takes is a terabyte hard drive and an unmetered 5 mb line. Its a bit pricey though. What i'm doing is more for small things.

I don't think i will be doing that any time soon. the max that i'm willing to go to is 10 mb. If people want free hosting with no registration for large files i will send them your way

Sorry i won't be raising it. I just did this site in 10 minutes to help people. It is a non profit site for me, the google ads are just paying for the server. If someone does want 100 Mb - 1 TB file hosting then they can contact me. I offer very cheap file servers on various connections (ranging from a 1 mbit line to a dedicated OC12 line)

You can contact me by email (sorcre@gmail.com it's the addres i check the most) But please don't contact me if you are not serious because it can be a bit pricey. A dual xeon 2.8 Ghz, 2 gig ram, and a terabyte of hard drive space would cost you about 220 a month with a $340 a month with a $700 setup fee. The bandwidth can ether be purchased by gig or by fully burstable Mps. Each gig costs $0.045 cents (with a 1,500 gig commitment.) or you can buy each MBps for $90 dollars a mbit. (if you are not familiar with that you have unlimited bandwidth but it can only handle the number of mbits that you bought a second. 95th percentile rule) for a server of that caliber i would suggest a linux box and Gziping everything to save bandwidth but you may choose from debian,RHEL, slackware,mandrake,fedora,freebsd,netbsd, or windows 03 net edition.

thatnks for doing this but if i wanted to upload a small game i would want to upload a folder(with the media and everything all nicely arranged for people to download) but you can't upload folders(only individual files)

I can offer him that but it would cost him a couple hundred a month for the connection alone. But i doubt you will find it for free. And how would you upload it? On cable alone it would take 7 hours to upload it.

Ok i fixed it. By default the server had 3 php.ini files and i was only editing 2. Well any excuse for using pico is a good one

um..yeah this whole post is pointless since dbspot doesnt really limit you at all. nice try, but i dont think so.

Well this is mainly for speed and for people who don't want to register. Plus the server is on a far faster network than dbspot. Although i bet they have a better server for it. At least until my G5 server is online. (which won't be for a couple of months)

I said it before and ill say it again. This is for speed and simplicity. If there is enough of a demand then i will alow free website hosting with unmetered space and banwidth. But for now i'm just hosting files.
