I have now got my GUI setup. It serves no purpose at the moment cause i want it to look right before i do that...

So what do you think?

yes it is. how do you mean by "wasted space". if you cant see a feature that isnt added just by looking could people perhaps mention it?

i want to get the gui sorted before i start any hardcore programming

I mean those big patches of grey at the bottom. Ideally you want to minimize screen usage for the interface, although, if you're planning to use them its ok.

the grey area below the edit boxes is just on the screenshot. it stops where the edit boxes do
