Hey I have a pc with a Pentuim 4 512ram winxp a geforce2 equivalent graphic card but in games I have a low frame rate like 23 or 31 etc
but people with the same or lower have higher frame rates..What can I do to my computer to have better performance without buying anything?

Get latest Gforce Drivers.
Check for Viruses.
Check for Adware.

Defragment the drive.
Maybe you have a slow Hard drive anyway. I was amazed when I bought a new Hard drive, and my computer speeded up a lot.

Do you have the retail version of Direct X installed or the Debug version (if you are using a Direct X SDK)? Using the Debug version can slow things down.
