Hi @ all,

I haven't posted in a while now as I'm currently quite busy keeping the german darkbasic community up ( http://www.darkbasicpro.de ) . Today I want to announce the 3. german darkbasic convention on saturday 07. August 2004 in Bamberg / germany.

This year we plan to do some workshops about programming with darkbasic professional (or 3d games creator as it is known here) watch some creations (demos,games) done with DBC/DBP/3dgc.

If you have some material to show then your welcome to submit it to me so we can show it @ the convention. We'll show it on a video projector for a better view

Lee Bamber will also visit Bamberg again ( many thanks for your time! ) and we're really looking forward to this event.

The official webpage is now online. The page is mainly german but if you want to know more details feel free to send me a mail ( hubdule@colorarts.de ) The webpage could be found here: http://www.colorarts-data.de/syncon2004/

Here're the main facts in a short form:

- date: sat. 07.08.2004
- time: 12:00 -> around 22:00
- location: Bamberg (near Nuremberg, exact location not confirmed yet)
- competition: create a short but stunning graphical demonstration and use one or both resources from the provided zip file ( @ the download section )
- what to expect: workshops, interviews, demos, games, discussions and a lot of fun for the day

You're welcome to submit us your creation to show them @ the convention.

Cool, nice to hear Sync On is happening again. Strangely the German convention always seems to have the best turnout.

oh I forgot to say that you're all welcome to join this years convention. I know that there are only a few percent who could really think about visiting us. But if you like then you're welcome. ( Don't fear that you won't understand anything as nearly everybody talks english here )

It's those crazy German demo coders left over from the ST and Amiga era . Anyone remember the DBC demos from SyncOn 2003?, cool space scenes with lots of particles - hope to see a DBPro update of those!.

Hope everything goes well Hubdule.

Great to see you again Hubdule. This should probebly be a sticky, or mentioned in July's newsletter. Unfortuantly, I'm across the Atlantic, so it's out of the question for me to come, though I love seeing all these DB events going on. Perhaps I may send in a demo of some projects I'm working on though.

If there's enough interest I'll try to translate them and write them down.
