I tried a search, came up with start one lol. (I like that message by the way

trying to build a text game for first game, got it started and ran into a block, the program (once assembled) can't find the MP3. I've tried putting it in the root folder, no joy. In a media folder, no joy. In a mediamusic folder, no joy. So I finally worked out a plan to check if the file exists and if so load it. that works great, problem is it still can't find it. All paths are exact (unless the game is not using the applications directory as default root)

here's the main page.

My brother is hounding me to finish this (game is actually for him), but I just can't figure the "music being lost" part out. The code is sloppy, and I'm sure I'm doing things the hard way, but it's only cause I'm a complete Newbie.

Thanks for any help,
Phrozin

PS. where is the preview button?? I hope those code blocks work now.

Instead of starting another topic and wasting bandwidth, Does anyone know or have a copy of Robk's version 104 blue menu? I downloaded it a couple days ago, and have to format and reghost and now it wont download. keeps saying page unavailable.
Thx, Phrozin

EDIT: Errr, I meant "and had to format and reghost"

@Phrozin: I understand your concern about wasting bandwidth, but it's perfectly alright to start a new thread for a new question. Especially if it's on a completely different subject

Get 15 new commands, all the date / time commands left out of DBPro for free!

will do just didn't like starting a new topic for something so frivolous. everyone seems to have much more important questions and deserve the attention first.

Thx for the replys guys, much appreciated
