I think ive got the idea of how you make characters guns ect. Ive run through the fps tutorial that comes with db classic i made a sniper rifle that shoots rockets

Anyway, i want to do somthing decent now, as i said i think i can make the characters, but im not to sure how you get to import levels, rather than the pathetic random vertex.

Could someone help me, a opensource maybe, or a tutorial?

thanks in advance

I have my old dbc fps i made. No enemies, but it had collision(non-rotated boxes) and weapons. You could jump, crouch, and technically climb objects(did that by accident). It's a simple engine though. The bad part is that the levels were created with DB primitives, and the collision areas where written out by hand. Meaning, each object's position and size was written into DATA statements. I can send you the code and media when I get home from school in a couple hours. Gimme your email address and I'll zip it over around noon.(8:30am here now)

What you mean it doesn't work well? Collision, gravity, rockets with radial dmg? What else you want?

no offence taken. Somebody posted this article in another thread, and I'm currently using it to build my new collision engine. polygon with swept sphere. http://www.peroxide.dk/papers/collision/collision.pdf
