I'm a big emu fan. I play Twin Cobra, Bubble Bobble and the lot Now i bought a USB converter to use my PS2 joypads on the PC, wich works perfectly! But... for Shoot em Ups i really need an autofire option. I searched the net for a macro or something but couldn't find anything. I just want one joystick button to repeat as fast as possible if i keep it pressed.

I'd suggest a cheap third party PS2 controller with an autofire function built in - my dad uses one that only cost £10 new, uses it to cheat on Tiger Woods golf.

Don't encourage him!

Cheating old fart that he is. I might just be bitter because I suck at golf though .

lol

I have 2 Sony PS2-pads and a ASCIIWARE 'Arcade' board. So i don't want another pad, but...

I found a neat proggie. It works 'the other way'. It assigns a joystick button to a key wich you can set to autofire. So i assign an autofire to the CRTL key and use the joypad.

I know autofire isn't the best way for playing the good old Shmups but tapping the key a million times in a second makes me and MAME sometimes misses button- and keypresses.
