Just resently I was forced format my pc and reinstall windows. I´ve now installed and configuered practicaly everything but one element remains. I use a peer-to-peer network conection through a router and I can´t get Kerio to let the 2 pcs on the network share files. If I disable the firewall on both pcs I can pass files across with no problems. Once I enable Kerio it causes an error or works slower than my internet connection. Can anyone tell me how to get it to ignore the other pc so I can move files and play LAN games?
Thanks for help

In Kerio, you can add IP addresses to a list of trusted connections.

However...I ditched Kerio, it kept giving me the blue screen and an fpw.dll error. It's a common problem that is losing Kerio a large chunk of their fanbase.

BTW, Tiny personal firewall is Kerio.

Thank you for your replay. Unfortuanatly I already added the other pc´s IP address and it had no effect. Perhaps I should ditch Kerio aswell. I only installed it because the Zonelabs one was giving me trouble with my bittorrent client. Could you tell me the name of the one you´re currently using?

Get a hardware firewall - cant beat them really. I recommend Draytek.

My router has a built in hardware firewall but you can never have too much protection from crackers/hackers. If I had my friends router I wouldn´t have this problem. Aparently it´s got a built in software firewall.

Trend AV (with firewall) is pretty good. Plus, if you've got Windows XP, that too has a firewall.

I've got a hardware firewall, Trend Firewall and Microsoft system running...

If the router is doing NAT (which it should be) then that + a soft firewall should be more than enough.

edit: but something other than xp's built in firewall, I mean. That firewall is useless compared to BlackIce or ZoneAlarm, from what I hear. ZA has a free version btw.

Black Ice is good, although I have had problems with XP Home machines getting real slow when trying to access the network. Hardware firewalls are much more efficient.

I´ll try out Black Ice if it´s got a demo. I don´t want to fork out $40 to find out it has the same problem though. Thanks for help.

Unfortuantly I can´t use Zone Alarm as it conflicts with my bittorrent program. One of the 2 had to go and I´m not letting go of my subtitled Sonic X episodes(You have to use a bittorrent client to download them). That program isn´t shown in Spain(as far as I know) and it´s better to get it in the original languaje anyway.
