This may be a terribly stupid question, in which case I humbly apologise in advance. However ...

I have had to buy and install Norton Internet Security 2004 Professional because my computer got a particularly nasty virus of the W32 school. I realised that my old freeware virus killer software no longer cut the mustard.

I've now discovered that when I try to look at websites sometimes the entire website doesn't display at all (www.bt.com falls into this category) or sometimes elements of the website don't display (www.thegamecreators.com - the menu items and buttons don't display).

I am assuming what is happening is that I've set up Norton too strongly so that it is blocking these items. I have been fiddling with the settings to try and unblock them ... with regrettably no good results.

Does anyone have any idea what I should do to allow these items to be displayed again?

Cheers

Philip

DUUUUUUH it transpires I had forgotten I had temporarily increased the Privacy Settings slider bar on my internet explorer options to maximum. What a silly bear. But as this post demonstrates, all is working again now.

AND WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? (I HEAR YOU CRY)

Yeeeessss...... I'm finally REALLY back! For good. Oh yeah.
