might not be a loss for you, but it's a great thing for anyone who Does visit the place.

First of all you come there with the cshop problem. Now I tried to help you, but you didn't answer my questions.

then you go like this:

Not only were you wrong, you were off-topic. It's not called the #darkbasic channel for nothing.

then we make an example program showing how even a Intel Integrated card beat your specs and sugges that there might be something wrong with your comp. You go all defensive and start messing around. With that attitude, no wonder you got no help.
plus your comments about xp being "sh*tty" were just hilarious - just goes to show how much you think you know.

@ Raver, really can't help you on with the backlashing. If you wanted it to be dropped, it would have been wise to just post your actual question here and not title your thread "#darkbasic" and then make claims. People are going to call you on it now. So, my suggestion is to weather out the storm - sometime in life we take or licks. Everyone has a bad day! I wasn't there so, I don't know what went on.

Like I said, I wasn't aware of what actually took place. My comments about IRC were in-general, not specific to anyone here or anyone in the #darkbasic. I don't know who was there, or what transpired. I'll stay out of it, and let the parties present sort it out.

It was in good humour about blitz basic,I said it on the knowledge that there is rivalry there and just waited for hilarious responses! and everyone in that channel messes around,you certaintly dont talk about dbasic 99.9% of the time! and i still refuse to blame my system,a intel intergrated card beating a nvidia ti 4200 to me is a really big joke,and anyone who says windowsxp is a good OS, still sounds like a big joke to me!!

Windows XP is the best microsoft OS if you aren't to stupid to use it.

Your computer really isn't that great and I wouldn't be surprised if your POS nvidia card couldn't handle 2D very well.

we do have lves. not everything we talk about is computer related. if someone raises a convo about darkbasic then we'll gladly join in to help, but as i said, we do have other things to talk about to. sorry for not talking about darkbasic 24/7 just for your benefit.

edit:

also learn to be more appreciative. non-smacktards are greatful for the wonderful job that menmonix, lag, las 6, elleomea (those 4 in particular) and the ops have done for the room, and in turn have done for the db community.


edit: + the TGC staff for popping in to give us insight to tgc developements.

My question is this: is the IRC channel that people speak hereof the one which can be reached from the Developers Network subpage? Or is there another more exclusive IRC channel that I dost not knoweth abouteth?

No, we don't always talk about DarkBasic. But we don't take kindly to people who join, be obnoxious, complain about low FPS while bragging about their stupid nVidia card, talk about Blitz (even if it's in good humor. The name of the channel isn't #Blitzbasic), and then go onto the official message boards and complain, then when someone tries to help they get pissed and make threats to cool people.

Typing that and thinking about it makes me hope you never come back. Good day to you, sir.
