just curius as to other ppls screensavers.

here's mine:
http://www.3planesoft.com/pages/castle.html
and i absolutely love it.

it runs between 50-150 FPS on my 9800pro, and even ran on my TNT2, (at about 20)

the waterfall effects are amazing and one thing i really love is the day/night cycle. Theres and option to have it sync with the system clock so that the sky in the screensaver looks excactly like the sky outside- isnt that sooooooooooooo kewl???

3planesoft design there screensavers for office pc's to sooth stress of the employees, hence the music and the birds.

if you have any intrest i also recommend the waterfall and nature screensavers.

Meh? I just disable it. I'm more of a conservative guy, and since I'm the only one who uses the PC and it's almost always in my sight, I just turn off my monitor to save power.

Yeah, I feel the same way about the screen saver that I wrote. I've got a version that plays MP3s ripped from Chaos Gate. Forget soothing, I want something to wake me up in case I fall asleep at they keyboard. So, I either go with battle chants or bagpipes.

Well, there is a little more than that. You should properly parse the command line arguements so your program acts like a screensaver. I posted one of my screensaver shells to the DBP board.

I Don't Use A Screensaver. It Takes Up Too Much Recorces. If I'm Not Using My Computer, Nobody Is. My Monitor Just Turns Off After A Certain Time Of Not Doing Anything.

And That Night/Day Thing Is A Good Idea. I Should Put That In My Screensavers.
