This is probably are really stupid/useless question, but got brought up by a friend today and i dont know the answer to that...

what exactly IS spam? see it in the internet a lot, but dont know what it quite means....

yepp...feeling quite stupid right now...but i really want to know what it means...haha

I see spam as pointless posts, like posts that don't really say anything relevant - quoting from websites is not really spam, just opening stuff up for discussion really - unless it's just an advert trying to sell us something, in which case we should fill the postee's shoes with nettles.
