You could hard-code your own intro, or you can make an AVI/MPG with apps like Flash(Though movies takes a lot of space.)

i actually use carrera3d it but its good pricy though im just lucky cos my mates dads a 3d artist but you load your 3d objects into it and instruct there movement in a landscape

You could use 3D Canvas, available here, there is a freeware version that can do simple 3d ani that can be exported to avi

oh or if ya really wanna be posh and very flash and get right up othe peoples noses u could make ya 3d intro's in 3D studio max

but thats pushing it a bit

(just upgraded) system specs: AMD XP 3000+, 512Mb DDR333, nvidia ge-force FX 5600 128MB, 1x8Gb & 1x40Gb HHD, 52x CD drive, DVD+RW 4x, Sound Blaster 128.... all in a Nokia 8310 case :0D

A more economical solution would be something like the registered version of DoGA CGA L3 ($40 or $20 if you have registered L2).

Some mid-priced packages like trueSpace, Hash Animation Master, or Lightwave would also do fine job.

Depending on your needs, POV Ray is an excellent rendering solution and it is a freebie.

I forgot one, if you have some form of scripting, your own game engine could be used to make intro scenes as well.
