Current Stage:
Alpha 0.4

I recently figuired out how to make very basic graphics in DB, and tried putting it to use in a simple game, and I would try to make it with no external media. I eventually came up with Capture The Flag, a schooltime favorite of mine. It's not to impressive graphicwise, but I hope to make it fun to play, and have some decent AI. I actually have a screenie to show my work this time around, and will use this thread to post all info until I get a proper website up.

Features (so far, many planned but unfinished)
o Control Three (3) characters at once (that was the most painful thing to get so far, took like 3 days)
o Enemy AI, I plan to have a few different strategies like aggresive, defensive, quick, planned out, etc.
o No external media! Because of this, I plan to make it open-source to show off how I do the graphics
o 2 Player or 1 player against computer, maybe 2 player will become LAN...

Screenies
Sunday July 25th

^ Why are they different colors? The darker guys are enemies, the white shirted guy is the selected character, and the others are you teammates. Currently the enemies are run by randomized movement AI.

Very nice Mattman. That's really great for no external media.

Will be interested to see more of this.

Newly Uploaded: AI overview. Thought it would be good to get the basics down not only for me, but for others once I release the source. You can view it in many formats:

oh. I picked random rgb colors for the images. Would you like me to change them, I didn't intend it to be a racial commment of any sort, I apoligive if you took it that way.

This project is still going!

I'm wondering if people would be interested in playing this online. If the intrest is high enough, I will go about trying to get a server to run it off and have people pay a one-time low fee ($15 max probably) for the multiplayer key so that I can afford the server. The one-player version and multiplayer on one pc will be free and most likely open-source.

Beta test soon, I'd say the game is in Alpha 0.6, 0.7 will be private beta (sign up here) and then 0.8 will be public beta.

That's great, makes me feel like I'm in the 1840's again.
I wouldn't play online for money exactly... But I might play online for free... I'll give you a signed picture of my cat...?
